SHOOTING & SCORING ACADEMY 

The Shooting & Scoring Academy is designed to teach the fundamentals of shooting as well as to develop guard and inside player skills.  This camp helps players of all abilities refine essential basketball footwork and technique for shooting. It also allows for some positional breakdown. Bear women’s basketball has held some of the top shooting percentages in the nation and we want to teach you our shooting secrets.

Shooting & Scoring Academy Blue Print:

• Each camper receives a free basketball and T-shirt
• Nice residential suites will house overnight campers (two per room, no private rooms) If your daughter has a friend, have her come along too! Roommate recommendations can be made during the registration process.  Staying in the dorms with your girls will be our camp counselors and coaches during the camp.
• Daily Lunch included for all campers; Overnighters: Dinner on day 1 & Breakfast on day 2 included
• The Core Foundational skills needed: ball handling, shooting, passing, movement & court vision
• Learn the art of Pivoting and playing with power as you step into your shot
• Develop Offensive attack moves going to the rim against contact
• Emphasized technique, footwork, shooting off the pass & dribble, free throw shooting, post/perimeter shooting.
• Advanced moves to get open, seal defenders and get high percentage jump shots.
• Technique on the pick and roll, dribble hand-offs
• Interactive Video Sessions of some of the best Bear shooters & inside players
• Campers will be grouped by age and skill level

What to bring:

• Water Bottle & Basketball clothes (T-shirts, shorts, socks and shoes)
• Overnight campers: linens, pillow, towel, personal toiletries and an alarm clock

Tentative Schedule:

• June 16th | 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
• June 17th | 9:00 a.m. – 4:00p.m.

Additional Information:

• Check-in for resident/overnight campers will be an hour prior to the start of camp at the dorm (more information will be shared closer to the date).
• Check-in for commuters will be 30 minutes prior to the start of camp at the West entrance to the Bank of Colorado Arena
• Spectators are allowed
• Attend Individual Skills + Shooting Scoring Academy and save $55

Refund Policy

• The camp cost is non-refundable. The full amount paid insures you a spot in camp. This allows no refunds due to personal injuries, AAU tournaments, other sport tournaments, other camps, vacations, etc.Covid-19 Refund Policy: Full refunds will be issued if camp gets cancelled for any Covid-related circumstances.
